Gallery One

The design of this duplex 180 sqm privately owned art gallery space in Ramallah focused on creating a dynamic space that adjusts to the needs of the art work to be exhibited, while maximizing storage space. To achieve this goal, most storage space is hidden in the walls surrounding the exhibition space. The interior partitions in the main gallery level are mobile and can open up to reveal more storage space. While the gallery space in the top floor can be converted into a library/ research area with mobile partitions that double as library shelving . Walls, doors and spiral staircase were designed to be neutral invisible to highlight the exhibited work itself. The main storage space was fitted with custom designed and made art storage  racks to facilitate showcasing artwork for purchase.
